Summer is just around the corner and the highly popular, long-awaited outdoor, family-friendly activities have begun across Perth.
The Sunset Supper Club is launching this Friday from 5pm until 9pm, at the Garden City Piazza.
“The Sunset Supper Club idea came about to accomplish two main goals, to re-energise the Garden City Piazza space which was underutilised as a community space and to bring a pop-up-food-market concept to the much-needed south metropolitan area,” said Sunset Supper Club event organiser, Paul Litwin.
The event is aiming to create a relaxed, family-friendly dining experience, with great food, music and culture.
Ice-cream maker for Miss Tartufo Gelati, Marco De Campi, says it’s about creating a sense of community and getting people together.
“I was one of the first food trucks in this new movement and have been in the ice-cream business for almost 20 years,” said Mr De Campi.
It will be a local venture offering activities for the whole family to enjoy including: dancers, artists, bubbleologists, drawing stations and musical entertainment.
Mr Litwin is expecting it to become a popular place for locals to attend on a weekly basis.
“It will be a great opportunity to bring a range of stakeholders together in a unique community event unlike anything that has operated in Perth before,” said Mr Litwin.

There will be an assortment of different food trucks to indulge in from Mexican, fresh juices, waffles, Japanese dumplings and wood-fired pizzas.
“We have some great innovative desserts that we’re going to be releasing, including a tiramisu dessert and a cassata, which are two very traditional Italian desserts,” said Marco De Campi.
“People will be expecting this wonderful supper, they want something a bit better than ice-cream on a cone.
“We will give them a gelato dessert they can sit down and enjoy.”
