Some people will tell you there’s no better way to get out and explore Perth than by sailing the Swan River.
With summer soon here there are a lot of clubs offering programs for water sports lover including one dedicated to our iconic waterway called Swan River Sailing.
Sailing boats align on the foreshore Swan River Sailing says it is Perth’s premier corporate sailing and team building provider that oversees a number of local, state and international level sailing regattas.
“Swan River Sailing revolves around the exhilarating sport of sailing – a versatile and enjoyable activity that provides participants with the real feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction,” said Ms Anna Bosotin, Corporate Events Manager of Swan River Sailing.
Swan River Sailing has been providing structured team building programs over two decades.
The company says Sailing is a water sport that highly encourages teamwork.
“Our aim is to provide participants with skills that will assist an increase in productivity, communication, planning and teamwork through continuous improvement using the sport of sailing a Foundation 36 yacht as the team building platform,” said Ms Bosotin.
“Sailing is a team sport, where everyone is involved in sailing the yacht, it reinforces the team message that everyone is working together,” she added.
Mr Soua Yang, who was one of the participants in the team building program, was highly impressed with the professionalism the staff and coaches passed on.
“My first sailing experience couldn’t have been any better. It was a fun day filled with excitement,” said Mr Yang.
“Thanks to the highly professional Swan River Sailing team, the team building event was a success,” he added.
“We don’t normally do sailing classes to the public, but we do have a ‘Learn to Sail Program’ with schools like Scotch and Wesley,” said Ms Bosotin.
“Is it more like an introduction to sailing than a learn to sail type of class.”
